Maverick Concerts is a storied summer festival, and we are bringing a particularly Spektral vibe (new/old/in-between) to Woodstock, NY for our debut there. Augusta Read Thomas's ebullient new piece for us, CHI, receives its New York premiere, we give the world premiere of Gerard McBurney's String Quartet No. 1 "Hildegard Quartet," and we round out the program with Philip Glass's brooding Quartet No. 2 "Company" and Ravel's masterful String Quartet in F major.
